PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which keeps occurrence of conveyance obstacles suppressed and a printing speed improved at the time of image formation. SOLUTION: The image forming method includes a moisture-controlling process of controlling one surface of an inkjet recording medium P which has an air permeability of 300 seconds or more, a feeding process of feeding the moisture-controlled inkjet recording medium to a conveyance path for conveying the inkjet recording medium in a state while curled in a direction to be convex to the conveyance path, a suction conveyance process of conveying the fed inkjet recording medium while adhering the medium by suction to the conveyance path, and a drawing process of drawing an image by applying an ink by an inkjet method onto the inkjet recording medium adhered by suction to the conveyance path.
