PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a protective plate integrated display panel in which a display element and an observation surface-protective plate are integrated with a resin layer without producing air bubbles in the resin layer. SOLUTION: A spacer 9 is stuck onto the observation surface of the display element 1 so as to surround a screen area, unpolymerized resin 16a is supplied to an area surrounded by the spacer 9 on the observation surface of the display element 1, the observation surface-protective plate 10 is pushed against the layer of the supplied unpolymerized resin 16a by setting such a time lag that, a part closer to the side part of the area surrounded by the spacer 9 is brought into contact with the layer of the unpolymerized resin 16a later as compared with the other part corresponding to the center part of the area, thereby, the protective plate 10 is caused to be in contact with the spacer in a state that the unpolymerized resin 16a is filled into the area surrounded by the spacer 9 in a gap between the display element 1 and the protective plate 10 and, thereafter, the filled unpolymerized resin 16a is polymerized.
