<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overfender assembly easy in attaching and detaching an overfender, and a method of manufacturing the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The overfender assembly 10 mounted to a wheel arch of an outer plate 2 of a bus includes a core metal 26 having a substantial U-shape in cross section, a box nut 24 welded to the outside 26a of the core metal 26, a bolt 22 screwed to the box nut 24 via a mounting hole of the core metal 26 from the inside of the vehicle width direction, and the overfender 28 covering the core metal 26 by sealing the box nut 24.
