<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a crankcase coping with increase of a combustion pressure in a cylinder of an engine by providing a means for suppressing deformation of a middle part of bolts for fastening a cylinder head in a direction of a line connecting centers of adjacent cylinders by a low-cost means with an extremely simple structure and a small number of working man-hours. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the crankcase including a plurality of cylinders, with a plurality of bolts for fastening a cylinder head being provided for each cylinder at both sides of each cylinder, a reinforcement rib 6 successively extending in a direction parallel to a cylinder center line 4a on an undersurface of a ceiling top panel, is provided on an outer peripheral wall of a middle part of the bolts 3 at both sides for fastening a cylinder head in a direction of a line 20 connecting centers of adjacent cylinders.
