<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of time and effort required to check for dents. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A dent inspection apparatus 100 is configured to include a descaler section 200, covering part of a bottom tube 910, which peels away an adhering substance from a surface of the bottom tube 910; a cleaning section 300, covering part of the bottom tube 910 which cleans the surface of the bottom tube 910, by removing the adhering substance thus peeled away from the surface of the bottom tube 910; and a dent inspecting section 400 which while moving along the bottom tube 910, checks for concave dents on the surface of the bottom tube 910 thus cleaned by the cleaning section 300.
