<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an outer appearance by preventing the parts, structures, etc. on the inside of a panel member from being viewed concerning an automatic opening and closing device of a door for a vehicle most suitable to use for the door having a center of rotation roughly in the horizontal direction and devised to move to open upward. <P>SOLUTION: One end peripheral part of a driving source 3 held on a car body and an arm 2 provided between the driving source 3 and the door is covered with a first trim member 14, the other end peripheral part of the arm 2 is projected from an opening part 16 of the first trim member 14, the opening part 16 is blocked with a cover member 17 having a slit 18 formed along an oscillating locus of the arm 2, a first fold 17a<SB>1</SB>formed on the outside in the car widthwise direction of the slit 18 and a second fold 17a<SB>2</SB>formed on the side of the driving source 3 from the first fold 17a<SB>1</SB>and arranged roughly in parallel with the first fold 17a<SB>1</SB>are provided on the cover member 17, and a head end part of the second fold 17a<SB>2</SB>is projected to the side of the oscillating locus from the first fold 17a<SB>1</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
