METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IMPROVING ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN SENSOR NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method for improving energy efficiency in a sensor network and an apparatus thereof are provided to improve energy efficiency of the sensor network by communicating a corresponding node to an optimized transmission power level. CONSTITUTION: A registration performing unit(110) receives information about surrounding nodes broadcasted by the surrounding nodes around the nodes. A negotiation performing unit(120) uses information of the nodes and measures an optimized transmission power level about the nodes. A value of the optimized transmission power level is a minimized value at the optimized transmission power level offering link quality which is the same or similar to the value of maximized transmission power level provided from a physical layer.
