The rotor (1) has a turbine wheel (3), a compressor wheel (5) and a shaft (4) connecting the turbine wheel and the compressor wheel in a torque-proof manner. A rotor unit (2) comprising the turbine wheel, the compressor wheel and the shaft is made of a piece in an integral manner. The rotor unit is made of metal, a metal alloy or ceramic. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a loading device with a radial bearing unit; and (2) a method for manufacturing a rotor.
