PURPOSE: A line printer head and an image forming apparatus are provided to remove a need of wire bonding for connecting electrodes of light emitting devices with output terminals of a driving IC, thereby reducing manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of light emitting devices(100) includes light emitting structures and is arranged in scanning direction. Each light emitting structure comprises a lower electrode(120), a transparent upper electrode(160), and a light wave guide unit. A driving IC(200) drives the light emitting devices. The driving IC includes a plurality of output terminals. The driving IC is formed on a substrate. The light emitting devices connect the output terminals with respective lower electrodes of the output terminal electrically.
