REVERSIBLE THERMOCHROMIC HYSTERESIS COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible thermochromic composition which has a broad hysteresis width and nominally exhibits an irreversible colored state under the ordinary use conditions (normal temperature region) for giving a high color developing density and high contrast in small residual color on color extinguishing even if microencapsulated to enhance the properties when used as a reversible thermochromic material.

SOLUTION: In the thermochromic hysteresis composition comprising a leuco dye (i), a color developing substance (ii), and a microcapsule containing a color change temperature regulator (iii), the color developing substance (ii) is a compound represented by chemical formula 1 and the color change temperature regulator (iii) is a compound represented by chemical formula 2.
