<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately decode a result obtained by encoding non-zero coefficient number data of a transform coefficient obtained by orthogonally transforming image block data in a second block size, that is twice or more the size of a block, on the basis of corresponding relation data suitable for the block size. <P>SOLUTION: An encoded code is acquired which corresponds to a value of final continuous number data indicating the number of transform coefficients, of each of which the absolute value is 1, continued to the end of the transform coefficient obtained by orthogonally transforming image data in an orthogonal transform size. corresponding relation data are selected which indicate a corresponding relation between the value of the final continuous number data indicating the number of transform coefficients, whose absolute value is 1, continued to the end of the transform coefficient obtained by orthogonally transforming the image data in a sub block size smaller than an orthogonal transform size for orthogonally transforming the image data, and the selected corresponding relation data are used to decode the encoded code, thereby producing the final continuous number data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
