<p>A method for producing a ß-alkoxypropionamide comprising synthesizing a transesterified polyol of a ß-alkoxypropionic acid ester by subjecting a ß-alkoxypropionic acid ester represented by formula (I) and a polyol having two or more OH groups to a transesterification reaction in the presence of a basic catalyst; and synthesizing a ß-alkoxypropionamide represented by formula (III) by subjecting the transesterified polyol and an amine represented by formula (II) to an amidation reaction.</p>
