<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing device of a document pressing plate, which is designed in a short period and which applies torque stronger than conventional ones in a direction where a lift arm and a support arm are overlapped. <P>SOLUTION: In the opening and closing device of the document pressing plate which is mounted to office automation equipment such as a copy machine, a facsimile and a scanner and which is configured with a first opening and closing device that supports a gravity center side of the document pressing plate whose gravity center is biased to an automatic document feeder (ADF) side, so as to be freely opened and closed, and a second opening and closing device that supports the document pressing plate on a side distant from the gravity center side so as to be freely opened and closed, the second opening and closing device is configured with a mounting member which is mounted to a body of the office automation equipment, the support arm which is turnably and pivotally mounted to the mounting member via a hinge shaft, the lift arm which is turnably and pivotally mounted to a tip end of the support arm via a support shaft in a direction overlapped with the support arm and which mounts the document pressing plate, and a compression spring which is provided between the lift arm and the support arm and which biases the lift arm in a direction overlapped with the support arm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
