PURPOSE: A mail service providing device and a method thereof are provided to realize the standardization of address database by storing generated delivery point code in address DB of a customer. CONSTITUTION: An address information extractor unit(110) extracts the routing address information from the address DB(200) of a customer. A hierarchical unit(120) classifies the routing address information according to elements. A delivery point code generator unit(130) gives correspondent codes to elements and generates the delivery point code of the routing address information. The delivery point code generator unit stores the delivery point code in the address database.
