PURPOSE: An exhaust gas purification device is provided to improve generation efficiency and reduce back pressure rise by rapidly raising the temperature of a catalyst filter through a natural regeneration efficiency increasing mode. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas purification device comprises a diesel oxidation catalyst(100), a filter catalyst(105), and a controller. The diesel oxidation catalyst is used to reduce hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide generate nitrogen dioxide. The filter catalyst collects particulates in the air and removes the particulates through reaction with nitrogen dioxide. The controller senses the temperature of the filter catalyst from a fixed temperature map and carries out an efficiency increasing mode when the time over a balance point is less than the set ratio to the total operation time, wherein the balance point is the temperature at which the absorption volume of the particulates is the same as the regeneration volume of the particulates.
