The device has a support formed of a parallelepiped case with a body supporting a cover, where the support supports a removable fixation unit to fix a pocket computer (12) on the support. A data inputting unit has a keyboard comprising keys adapted to a visually impaired person. A connection unit formed of a modem (50) connects the device to a network e.g. wireless personal area network such as Bluetooth, to permit exchange of data between the device and the computer. A data processing unit i.e. CPU (52), connects the inputting unit with the connection unit.
