The engine has an exhaust gas mixer (15) mounted directly in upstream of a compressor in a low pressure part of a fresh air intake circuit. The mixer has an axial fresh air mixture/recycled exhaust gas outlet insert (19), an axial fresh air inlet insert (16) and a recycled exhaust gas fraction inlet insert (18), to create annular circulation of the fresh air mixture/recycled exhaust gas, the fresh air and the recycled exhaust gas in an inner part of the mixer to obtain the homogenization of the temperature of the fresh air mixture/recycled exhaust gas introduced in the compressor.
