PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor remedying image deletion or image blur that easily occurs in a high temperature and high humidity environment or the like and providing an image of high picture quality with excellent thin line reproducibility even by exposure using a short wavelength light source, and to provide an image forming method and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a charge transporting layer containing a charge transporting substance expressed by general formula (1), and a protective layer formed by applying a coating liquid containing metal oxide particles having at least a reactive organic group and a curable compound, followed by curing.
