PURPOSE: A gain control device of a polar transmitter and a method thereof are provided to realize transmission gain control of a wide range by revising a change of size information according to a bandwidth of a signal efficiently. CONSTITUTION: A signal generating unit(201~207) modulates a transmission signal. A gain revising unit(209~213) extracts a transmission gain. The gain revising unit generates an envelope signal by a pulse signal of the signal generating unit. A power amplification module(208) performs power amplification and simple amplification operation based on the envelope signal. A gain control unit(214,215) decides the size of the generated signal of the signal generating unit by a power control signal.
