Producing asphalt mixtures of bitumen or bitumen-containing binder and inorganic fillers, comprises: providing the inorganic fillers and an aqueous solution containing metal ions, heating the inorganic fillers to a process temperature of 50-300[deg] C, applying the aqueous metal ion solution on the surfaces of inorganic fillers, where the metal ion solution is thermally decomposed and on the surfaces of inorganic fillers, a layer of metal oxide is formed, and mixing the inorganic fillers coated with metal oxide with the bitumen or the bitumen-containing binder. Independent claims are included for: (1) an asphalt mixture comprising a bitumen or bitumen-containing binder and inorganic fillers, where the surface of inorganic fillers is coated with a layer of metal oxide; and (2) an asphalt mixing device (11) for the production of asphalt mixture, comprising a drying device (12) for drying inorganic fillers and a drying device downstream mixing device (14) for mixing the inorganic fillers with bitumen or bitumen-containing binder, where between the drying device and the mixing device, a metering device (13) is turned on for the metered addition of a metal ion-containing solution to the dried inorganic fillers.
