PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition which retains its optical characteristics and heat resistance and has excellent mechanical strength (toughness) and molding stability, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition contains a heat-resistant acrylic resin (a) having a composition ratio within a specific range, specific gum-containing copolymer particles (b) and a heat stabilizer (c) in a specific ratio.
