PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety by preventing a leading end of a top board from abruptly dropping and preventing the side opposite to the rotating shaft side of the top board from springing up, when turning the top board and setting it between main legs. SOLUTION: In this portable workbench, one end of the top board 6 is turnably journaled to one of the pair of ladder-like main legs 3, the upper portions of which are rotatably journaled and which are inclined downward and outward; and the main base 3 on the other end side of the top board 6 is provided with a top board retainer 7a for supporting the top board 6 from below. A means 10 for reducing a speed of descent caused by the turning of the top board 6 is protrusively provided on the main leg on the side of the top board retainer 7a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
