PURPOSE: A structure for blocking a floor impact sound in a building and a construction method thereof are provided to effectively block impact sound even in a thin slab by forming an elastic EPS cutoff member between a slab and a lightweight aerated concrete layer. CONSTITUTION: A structure for blocking a floor impact sound in a building is as follows. An elastic expanded polystyrene cutoff member(11) is loaded on the bottom surface of a concrete slab(S). A lightweight aerated concrete layer(12) is loaded on the top of the elastic expanded polystyrene cutoff member. A finish mortar layer(14) is loaded on the top of the lightweight aerated concrete layer.
