FIELD: chemistry; biochemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to molecular biology, specifically to proteins which regulate cell differentiation through inhibition of the TGF-beta cell superfamily. The invention is aimed at treating and preventing diseases related to human VgI orthologs.
