An ink composition is provided to improve printability and printing effect, to reduce the manufacturing costs of the ink by lowering the content of expensive fluorescent pigment, and to obtain SECURITY THREAD applied to banknote or securities as a counterfeit prevention element. An ink composition for security thread printing comprises (A) colored ink and (B) fluorescent ink. The colored ink(A) comprises color pigments 10~20 weight%, resin varnish 20~30 weight%, ethylacetate 30~40 weight% and isopropyl alcohol 20~30 weight%. The fluorescent ink (B) comprises fluorescent pigments 1~5 weight%, resin varnish 40~45 weight%, ethylacetate 30~40 weight% and isopropyl alcohol 20 ~ 30 weight%. |
