<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle riding type vehicle compatibly attaining comfort in relation to rain or the like and comfort in relation to riding attitude at a high level. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A rear side cover 31 of a front cover body 30 includes a footrest wall 35 extending from the front side of a foot board 20 obliquely upward to the front side, and a protruding portion 40 protruding from the upper end of the footrest wall 35 to the rear side in view from the side face. In view from the side face, a rear end 40c of the protruding portion 40 is located on the front side beyond a line between the rear end on the upper side of the rear side cover 31 and the rear end on the lower side thereof and located on the upper side beyond a vertically intermediate position between the rear end on the upper side of the rear side cover 31 and the rear end on the lower side thereof.
