<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate search and management of electronic data generated by reading an original document. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a network multi-functional machine 1, a short distance radio section 18 receives a scanning command for instructing reading of an original document and file name information for designating the file name of the electronic data generated by reading the original document from a portable terminal 3 by short distance radio communication. A file name imparting section 19A imparts the designated file name to the generated electronic data, and a folder output section 19B outputs the electronic data to a folder. In this way, the electronic data are stored with a file name designated by a user in the folder. The short distance radio section 18 transmits file information indicating address information specifying the folder storing the electronic data and the file name imparted to the electronic data to the portable terminal 3 by short distance radio communication.
