PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing sediments and a ship having the same are provided to simplify the configuration of the apparatus by activating a rotor body in a non-power manner. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for removing sediments comprises a rotor body(110), a plurality of first blades(120), and a plurality of second blades(125). The rotor body is coupled inside a ballast tank and allowed to rotate. The first blades are installed in the rotor body and rotate the rotor body with the flow generated within the ballast tank according to the discharge of ballast water. The second blades are installed inside in the rotor body and generate the flow for floating sediment within the ballast tank according to the rotation of the rotor body.
