ORGANIC EL DEVICE WITH FILTER AND METHOD OF REPAIRING SAME

An organic EL device having a filter attached thereto is provided in which transmission conditions for leak light in leak light detection and transmission conditions for laser light to be used for repair can be made to less fluctuate when the kind of filter is changed.  Also provided is a method of repairing the EL device.  The organic EL device having a filter attached thereto comprises: a first electrode disposed on the side where light is emitted outside; a second electrode disposed so as to face the first electrode; an EL layer disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode; a filter which is disposed on the first electrode on the side that is opposite to the side where the EL layer has been disposed, the filter transmitting light having wavelengths in a specific range outside the range of 400-700 nm; and a specific-wavelength absorption film which is disposed between the filter and the EL layer and absorbs light having wavelengths in the specific range and in which the transmittance of light in the specific range outside the range of 400-700 nm is lower than the transmittance of light having wavelengths of 400-700 nm.
