<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set a function to suit the preference of a user. <P>SOLUTION: In a television receiver 1, voice of a user is detected to detect voice information; voice information most similar to the detected voice information is retrieved from voice information registered in advance in a voice information database on the basis of each of various features; a feature corresponding to the voice information obtained as a result of the retrieval is determined to be the feature of the user; a set value of an image quality setting that suits the preference of the user having the determined feature is determined based on a value of an image quality setting that suits the preference of the user having the feature registered in advance in a setting value database for each of the various features; the image quality is set based on the determined set value; and thereby the image quality can be easily set to suit the preference of the user without requiring the user to register his or her voice in advance or specify the image quality value to be set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
