<p>An image display device is provided with a display panel which is provided with a pixel circuit which has: a light emitting element which emits light when a voltage is applied in the forward direction, and accumulates charges when a voltage is applied in the reverse direction; a driver element which makes the light emitting element emit light when a voltage of a threshold value or more is applied; and a capacitive element wherein charges for adjusting the quantity of a current flowing to the driver element are accumulated. Furthermore, the image display device is provided with: a charge supply line which supplies charges to the light emitting element in the pixel circuit; and a drive control section which, after supplying first charges to be accumulated in the light emitting element to the capacitive element, supplies second charges to the light emitting element from the charge supply line within one frame from the time when the light emitting element emitted light to the time when the light emitting element emits light next time, then, further supplies the second charges to the capacitive element, accumulates the first charges and the second charges in the capacitive element, and applies a voltage of a threshold value or more to the control terminal of the driver element.</p> |
