<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an amount of web left on a core of a used wind-up body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The paper feeder 110 includes a support body 20 which rotatably supports at least two wind-up bodies, a first wind-up body R1 and a second wind-up body R2, and a paster unit 30 which moves toward the second wind-up body R2 and splices paper by pressing a first web W01 unwound from the first wind-up body R1 against a second web of the second wind-up body R2. Upon completion of paper splicing, an end of the first web W01 is separated from the core 50 of the first wind-up body R1 to feed the end together with the second web.
