<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge cap for separated disposal which can prevent an unexpected breakage of the cap upon tightening it on a container without making an engaging part of the container into a double structure, and allows a powerless person to remove the cap by an easy operation. <P>SOLUTION: The hinge cap is provided with a vertical weakened line 11 which is close to either of both left/right ends of a hinge 20 and is separated away vertically from the upper end to the vicinity of the lower end of an engaging cylinder body 10. A separation preventive part 12 having the same thickness as the engaging cylinder body 10 is formed on the lower end of the vertical weakened line 11. A lateral weakened line 13 is formed to start from the upper end of the vertical weakened line 11 to extend along the longitudinal direction of the hinge 20.
