Device for transporting workpieces

The device has a conveyor for supporting elongated workpieces (1) i.e. skis. Pressing elements are brought in contact with the workpieces at the conveyor. A drive unit drives an endless conveyor belt (4). A collecting station is provided for the pressing elements, where the pressing elements are detached from the conveyor belt in the collecting station. The pressing elements are connected to the conveyor belt in a running direction of the conveyor belt by a control unit under consideration of the position of the workpieces.
