A device for measuring the content of humidity in organic products, which may be used in lines within a lyophilisation oven or any other type of industrial dryer; the device includes a microwave transducer, which simultaneously includes a disc-shaped dielectric resonator encapsulated in a closed metallic cavity formed by three parts: a base, an extension ring and a cap, wherein a sample of the examined product is located; the transducer has a single supply port that simultaneously actuates as an inlet and outlet for the microwave signal generated by means of a frequency synthesizer, which includes a phase locked loop, a reference oscillator, and a digital synthesizer; the reflection response of the transducer is obtained by means of a directional coupler and a logarithmic amplifier; the humidity content is calculated according to the magnitude of the reflection coefficient detected in the resonance frequency of the transducer.
