<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which can suppress creak sound generated between a linear light source and an electrode fitting supporting it without deteriorating workability during manufacture. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display including a liquid-crystal display panel and a backlight placed on the back face of the liquid-crystal display panel, the backlight includes a frame member DFR, a plurality of fluorescent lighting tubes FL that are placed in the frame member and provided with electrode portions 2 on both ends, and the electrode fitting 1 that supports the electrode portions of the fluorescent lighting tubes and supplies electric power to the fluorescent lighting tubes, wherein the electrode fitting includes guide portions placed between the electrode portions of the fluorescent lighting tubes and the side surface of the frame member, the guide portion includes a convex portion 13 that convexly rises toward the fluorescent lighting tubes and a support member 14 that supports the convex portion, and the convex portion and support member of the guide portion are formed at a position not in contact with the electrode portion of the fluorescent lighting tubes when the fluorescent lighting tubes are installed in the electrode fitting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
