PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire enhancing run-flat durability without impairing rolling resistance and riding comfortability during normal travel. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire is equipped with a bead core, a carcass ply, a tread rubber layer, an inner liner, a side reinforcing layer and a bead filler. Reinforcing fiber cords constituting the carcass ply are formed of cords including at least 50 mass% of polyketone fibers subjected to drying hardening treatment after coating of RFL adhesive and satisfy (1) the tensile strength of cords in the drying process and heat treatment process is 2.9-49.0 N per one cord, (2) the drying treatment temperature in the drying process is 100-200°C, and (3) when the hardening treatment temperature in the heat treatment process is Tm (°C) and the hardening treatment time is s (sec), Tm/s is 1.1-8.7.
