PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user from being troubled in viewing a television broadcast content even in the case where a disk drive is detached for repair or the like in a television receiver. SOLUTION: An MPU 81 detects whether a removable Blu-ray disk drive 7 is mounted or not and in the case where the Blu-ray disk drive 7 is mounted, output processing of television broadcast contents is enabled after executing processing for confirming that it is normal. In the case where the Blu-ray disk drive 7 is not mounted, power feeding to the Blu-ray disk drive 7 is stopped while skipping processing for confirming that it is normal, and output processing of the television broadcast contents is performed.
