The device has a deformation element (14a) for producing clamping force for deforming shape of a profile (10a) of a closure unit (12a). The deformation element is formed as a bar, and an adjusting element (16a) adjusts the clamping force of the deformation element. Another deformation element is unadjustably coupled at two positions using the closure unit, and the adjusting element is arranged between the fixedly coupled positions. An actuator (20a) adjusts the clamping force on the adjustment element. A sensor (22a) detects parameter that depends on a closed position of the closure unit.
