<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of difficulty in displaying advanced information while maintaining the ease of display device operations. <P>SOLUTION: First, hierarchical data is specified (S20). The hierarchical data specified may be one hierarchical data representing one image, or may be a set of a plurality of hierarchical data for which links are set. Next, an image to be displayed is designated using a frame definition parameter (S22). Further, an effect process used to display the image is designated as necessary (S24). If another image has been displayed before, a cross fade process or a process for enlarging the current image while contracting the previous image, for example, is designated. A complementing process for the current image and the next image before and during the time that display is shifted to the next image is designated (S26).
