PURPOSE: A system of watermarking for a digital moving picture is provided to prevent the illegal distribution of the moving picture through online by inserting watermark through the characteristic information of the original image into a video signal. CONSTITUTION: According to a watermark information to be inserted(106), a gain controller(107) outputs a value of gain signals of a duplicate signal 1 of a filter 1(102) and a duplicate signal 2 of a filter 2(104). A multiplier(109) multiplies a gain signal and the duplicate signal 1. A multiplier(108) multiplies a gain signal and duplicate signal 2. An adder(110) adds up the output signals of multipliers and a signal of an original image(101).
