ELECTRODE FOR ELECTROCHEMICAL MEASURING INSTRUMENT AND ELECTRODE FOR BIOSENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive electrode capable of producing current output with respect to hydrogen peroxide in the same way as platinum and iridium and having excellent durability.

SOLUTION: An alloy containing iridium and zirconium is used for the acting electrode 9 used in an electrochemical measuring instrument 3 for measuring the concentration of a specific component in a solution (the electrode 1 for the electrochemical measuring instrument), and the acting electrode 9 is constituted so as to be capable of detecting the specific component in the solution.
