<p>Provided is a detection code symbol which is used, e.g., to detect an article and can be easily made, especially a code symbol (detection symbol) which can be easily marked by, e.g., handwriting even by a general user. A code symbol of containing type has a symbol area indication layer in the outermost part. A plurality of symbol area indication layers can be provided, and two symbol area indication layers can be provided in other layers than the outermost part. A data cell group is disposed inside the symbol area indication layer. That is, the symbol area indication layer includes data cells thereinside. Data about the code symbols of containing type is represented by the containing relationship of the data cells and the colors of the data cells. Users can easily make such code symbols of containing type using existing marks and so on and easily give automatic-recognition code symbols to various kinds of articles.</p> |
