PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress rise in temperature of a disk drive by heat-transfer from high temperature internals of a device by a simple configuration in a thin display device equipped with a video display panel. SOLUTION: A thin display device has a structure in which a hollow 12 for thermal insulation is formed in a face which faces a disk drive unit 21 in a back side case 10, and a surface of the disk drive unit 21 attached in the back side case 10 seals the hollow 12 for thermal insulation. The area of the hollow 12 for thermal insulation sealed by the disk drive unit 21 becomes a heat insulating layer between the back side case 10 and the disk drive unit 21, and the heat insulating layer interrupts thermal transfer from the high temperature internals of the device to the disk drive unit 21.
