<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve and a valve system ensuring appropriate sealability to reduce or eliminate wear in a regenerative thermal oxidizer for treating a volatile organic compound in a high-flow-rate and low-concentration emission matter from industrial plant and power plant. <P>SOLUTION: The regenerative thermal oxidizer for treating a gas includes a combustion zone, exhaust, first and second heat exchanging beds containing heat exchanging media and communicating with the combustion zone and the exhaust, and a poppet valve including a valve driver, a valve seat and a flow distributor 50 for switching a flow among a first stationary mode for flowing the gas to the first heat exchanging bed, a movement mode and a second stationary mode for flowing the gas to the second heat exchanging bed, the popet valve controlling the gas flow based on the valve position, and also includes a means for controlling the gas flow based on the position of the valve and sealing the valve relative to the valve seat in the first or second stationary mode of the valve and a means for unsealing the valve in the movement mode of the valve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
