PURPOSE: A digital image processing apparatus and a control method are provided, which detect the movement of a main body including a vibration of a main body, hand shaking or a change of speed etc, perform a shoot-ready operation, and realize a quick shoot-ready. CONSTITUTION: A digital image processing apparatus(300) comprises a motion sensor(310) and a control unit(320). The motion sensor is installed to a main body. The motion sensor generates a motion signal by a motion detection of the main body. The control unit receives the motion signal. In case a signal level of the motion signal is higher than a set reference level, the control unit controls photographing preparation operation.
