<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus and an image display method by which individual images on a display unit can be recognized and operated reliably. <P>SOLUTION: The image display apparatus comprises the display unit 8 and a touch panel 8b, and performs control for shifting to a first display mode of making a plurality of images 91 adjacent to individual images for display to be viewable at a glance, a second display mode of enlarging and displaying one image selected with the touch panel 8b from among the plurality of images 91, or a third display mode which, if the touch panel 8b is operated in the first display mode and a plurality of touch images 96 are touched, displays a plurality of candidate images 92 more discretely than the first display mode based on the plurality of touched touch images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
