<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection-type photointerrupter that can be made thin. <P>SOLUTION: The reflection-type photointerrupter A1 includes a substrate 1 including a substrate material 11 and a wiring pattern 12, a light emitting element 2 disposed on the substrate 1, and a light receiving element 3 disposed on the substrate 1 and receiving light emitted by the light emitting element 2 and reflected by an object of reflection.
