PURPOSE: A broadcasting receiver and an updating method of broadcasting program information are provided to proceed timer recording or timer watching correctly by updating a broadcasting schedule accurately. CONSTITUTION: A tuner(110) receives SI(Service Information) information. A decoder(130) decodes a demultiplexed signal. A memory unit(150) stores the received SI information. A control unit(160) compares the saved SI information and the received SI information. The control unit decides an update of the saved SI information through comparison of a version number about a table and CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) data between the saved SI information and the received SI information. |
