PURPOSE: A top emission type organic electroluminescent device is provided to reduce power consumption by reducing an internal resistance of a second electrode through an auxiliary electrode. CONSTITUTION: A switching thin film transistor and a driving thin film transistor are formed on a pixel region of a first substrate(110). A protection layer covers the switching thin film transistor and the driving thin film transistor. The first electrode is formed on the protective layer. A bank is formed on the boundary of the pixel area. An organic light emitting layer is formed on the first electrode. A second electrode is formed on the organic light emitting layer and the bank. A second substrate(170) faces the first substrate. A plurality of protrusions(175) are formed on the inner surface of the second substrate. An auxiliary electrode(178) is formed along the boundary of the pixel area with a lattice shape. |
